Electric power and natural gas are provided to the Evansville area by Vectren Energy Delivery, a subsidiary of Vectren Corporation.  Vectren Corporation is an energy and applied technology holding company headquartered in Evansville. Vectren's energy delivery subsidiaries provide gas and/or electricity to nearly one million customers in adjoining service territories that cover nearly two-thirds of Indiana and west central Ohio.  Vectren's installed generating capacity is 1271 megawatts with total capacity at 1,448 megawatts and a targeted reserve margin of 15% or higher.
