Air Service in Southwest Indiana, the Evansville Region
The Evansville Regional Airport is a user-friendly airport designed to serve all travelers comfortably and efficiently. American, Delta and Northwest airlines provide nonstop service to international hub airports in Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Memphis, Cincinnati, and Atlanta. In June, 2005 American began non-stop jet service to Dallas Ft.Worth International Airport (DFW). 30 flights a day depart Evansville Regional Airport and make travel easy to almost any destination. Although the number of flights has been reduced, most service is on larger regional jet aircraft.
The airport has an 8,000 X 150 foot primary runway capable of handling wide body aircraft and a 6,000 foot crosswind runway that is used mostly by general aviation aircraft. The primary runway is equipped with an instrument landing system which assists aircraft to land during low visibility conditions. An FAA Control Tower and Radar Approach Control serve the airport. The geographic location of the Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) is: 38° 02' 16.769N - 87° 32' 50.256W. Field Elevation is 418 feet above sea level.
Tri-State Aero provides FBO services including: corporate aircraft service, fueling, maintenance, flight training and charter services. Corporate hangar locations are also available at the airport.
International business can be accomodated in the 78 acre portion of Foreign Trade Zone #177 located at the airport. A 41,000 square foot warehouse is available for companies that wish to take advantage of the FTZ benefits.
